Centennial Park – A National Heritage Treasure in Woollahra

Centennial Park Inauguration 1888

In 1888, a major event was held in Woollahra, attended by important state dignitaries. After years of work and great support from local residents from Woollahra the Centennnial Park was finally opened to the public.

Centennial Park provided a great opportunity for local residents to gather with their families in the park for walks and horse riding.

Today, Centennial Park welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Its heritage-listed gates on Queen Street are a proud reminder of Woollahra’s rich history. Lined with century-old trees and surrounded by long, picturesque streets, the park continues to be a symbol of community, heritage, and natural beauty in the heart of Woollahra.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing walk, a place to exercise, or a peaceful escape, Centennial Park in Woollahra remains one of Sydney's most treasured landmarks.
